Our Story
Noble Body Balm began with our co-founder’s father.
When cancer treatment left him with persistent neuropathic pain, she began combining essential oils to formulate relief that went beyond the temporary cooling or numbing sensation of conventional natural balms.
HIS DAILY RITUAL
Her father began using Noble Body Balm several times a day for his cancer-related neuropathy. The relief was significant enough that, with the balm’s help, he was able to come off some of the narcotic pain medication that had been making his life nearly unbearable. Today, he manages his neuropathy naturally with Noble Body Balm as an essential part of his daily routine.
AN UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY
In the beginning, her stepmother would massage Noble Body Balm into the areas where her father was experiencing pain, simply hoping to give him some relief. But something unexpected began happening: every time she applied the balm to him, she felt better too.
She lives with fibromyalgia, and although the balm had only been in the palms of her hands, she noticed that pain elsewhere in her body had eased. She had not applied it to those areas or used it with any expectation of helping herself. That was the moment we began to realize we had something remarkable on our hands.
She has used Noble faithfully ever since, not only for her fibromyalgia-related discomfort, but as part of her recovery after surgery, for pain affecting her mobility and for overall aches and discomfort.

FROM FAMILY FORMULATION TO NOBLE
Encouraged by her father’s experience, she produced approximately 12 sample jars and shared them with a small group of family members experiencing different forms of discomfort. She received rave reviews and six went on to request to purchase the balm for people they knew.
Her father then financed an expanded product trial and distributed 50 additional samples. Thirty recipients subsequently ordered the balm, with several purchasing additional jars for friends and family. She was out of stock instantly with requests for more.
Those early results led to the first ingredient and packaging inventory, a pilot production facility in Toronto and the beginning of Noble as a Canadian natural-health-product company.
What started as one daughter trying to help her father had demonstrated something larger: when people experienced Noble Body Balm for themselves, many wanted to keep it close and share it with someone else.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
Noble Body Balm has since received Health Canada authorization for multiple therapeutic uses and has been adopted by individual customers, naturopaths, wellness practitioners and health-food retailers.
Today, Noble operates from the historic Olde Store Cottage in Allains Creek, Nova Scotia. The setting has changed, but the purpose has not:
